In the Akshar deri at Gondal, on 27 January 2018, Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj performed the Vedic pujan of bricks to be placed in the foundation of the new BAPS shikharbaddha mandir and complex to be built in Jodhpur.
On 5 February, Pujya Swayamprakash Swami (Doctor Swami) and Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami performed the foundation-stone laying rituals on the site of the new buildings. About 500 yajmans participated in the mahapuja rituals, and 2,500 devotees and well-wishers witnessed the proceedings.
Present on this auspicious occasion were Shri Ashokji Gehlot (former Chief Minister of Rajasthan), Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (Central Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare) and other dignitaries.
