His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj joined devotees and well-wishers in celebrating the ten year anniversary of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Atlanta, GA through 17 days of Vedic rituals and celebrations. The environment was charged with excitement and devotion as well-wishers, volunteers, and devotees from across the world participated in the events held from June 21 through July 7.
His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj performed the unforgettable inauguration ceremonies in August of 2007 surrounded by the enthusiasm and excitement of hundreds of volunteers. Carrying forward his lifework and legacy, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj commemorated this historic milestone by sharing divine memories from the 2007 events and encouraging devotees to remain steadfast in their pursuits towards spirituality.
The celebrations began with the arrival of Mahant Swami Maharaj to Atlanta, GA, the first stop on his North American tour. Various programs throughout the next 17 days included: special programs for youth (Yuvak-Yuvati Din, Bal-Balika Din, Kishore-Kishori Din, and Shishu Din), Shri Nilkanth Varni Punah Pratishtha, Diksha ceremony, Mahila Din (women's cultural program), an outdoor 10th-anniversary celebration, and a three-day family shibir. The festivities ended with a Guru Purnima celebration where devotees gathered to honor their guru Mahant Swami Maharaj.
