More than 1,000 karyakars from across the UK and various parts of Europe gathered for the National Karyakar Shibir held on Sunday 26 June 2016 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London.

The shibir was themed ‘Anant Upkar: History and Hardships’ where delegates embarked upon a journey to learn about the challenges and adversities that Pramukh Swami Maharaj has shouldered to further the spiritual ideals and truths of the Sanstha.

Divyaswarup Swami and Adarshjivan Swami, visiting from India, delivered powerful and insightful discourses that explored the sacrifices and hardships that Swamishri has encountered. They drew upon some of the endless examples of Swamishri’s compassion that has inspired so many to lead spiritually enriching lives.

Emotive video presentations of Swamishri were also shown, which provided visual context to the narrations from sadhus.

Adarshjivan Swami brought the uplifting programme to a close by encouraging karyakars to foster the values of responsibility, sincerity and loyalty, and in doing so, further the noble work of Swamishri.

Volunteers departed the shibir with renewed impetus and vigour for their respective spiritual services and activities.
