A one-day Mahila Satsang Shibir 2015 entitled ‘Aa Deh Thi Shu na Thai?’ was held at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Kolkata, India on 29th September 2015. The atmosphere was charged with great enthusiasm as this was the first ever Mahila Satsang Shibir organized in Kolkata.
The seminar began with dhun, prarthana and stuti followed by a video presentation of Deep Pragatya by Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Volunteers from the madhyastha karyalay shared their thoughts and knowledge on ‘Laksh Prapti Mate, Vastavikta taraf Najar, Antrik Ahanik and Samp’, through inspirational discourses, multimedia presentations and question answer sessions.
Pramukh Swami Maharaj has often said, “Today, the future of children is in the hands of their parents; but, then, the future of parents will be in the hands of their children.” So, it is imperative to instill noble values in children from the beginning. Through the video ‘Sachi Ma’, mothers learnt how they could improve their relationships with their daughters; how the daily satsang niyams followed from childhood helps them grow up to responsible individuals.
Karyakars helped consolidate the shibir message by active role-play, interactive case studies and workshops. All the topics were stimulating and the experience helped to broaden the vision and strengthen their understanding of Satsang.
