The Governor of Gujarat, H.E. O.P.Kohli visited Akshar Mandir, Gondal, on Thursday 16 April 2015. As per protocol, the Governor was welcomed with a salute by State Reserve Police Officers.
At the Akshar Deri, Diyapurush Swami applied kumkum mark on the Governors forehead, tied a nada-chhadi and honored him with a garland, while students from the gurukul chanted Vedic matras. The sadhus prayed for the Governor's good health and success. Brahmavihari Swami explained the glory and importance of the Akshar Deri and its pradakshina, after which the Governor performed circumambulations around the Akshar Deri.
After darshan of the Akshar Deri, Mr. O.P Kohli had darshan of all three shrines of the mandir and performed arti of Ghanshyam Maharaj. The Collector and Deputy Collector of Rajkot District were also present.
