Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj, Yogiji Maharaj and Pragat Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj have sanctified Samoj village in Jambusar district of Gujarat. The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Samoj was inaugurated in 2005 after many years of satsang activities. Recently, new marble murtis of Shri Akshar Purushottam Maharaj were installed in new ornate sinhasans as part of the festivities to mark the Dashabdi Mahotsav.
The celebrations began on Sunday morning of 24 May 2015 with the Vishwa Shanti Mahayagna. Over three hundred devotees participated in the Vedic mahayagna for world peace. In the afternoon a Nagar Yatra of the murtis to be consecrated in the new mandir were taken in various decorative floats. Hundreds of devotees from in and around the village took part in the nagar yatra.
Pramukh Swami Maharaj had previously performed the Vedic murti-pratishtha rituals and arti of the new murtis in Sarangpur, India, on 16 April 2015. On the morning of 25 May 2015, the Vedic murti-pratishtha rituals began with the mahapuja after which the murtis were installed by Sadguru Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami. Pramukh Swami Maharaj had previously performed the Vedic murti-pratishtha rituals and arti of the murtis in Sarangpur, India, on 16 April 2015.
