BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha Australia’s Adelaide centre held its Inaugural Community Dinner on Saturday, 21st June 2014 at Klemzig Primary School, Klemzig SA.

With the inspiration of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj a new purpose-built BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir has already started taking its shape at Green Fields, South Australia. This evening aimed at introducing BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha and its various humanitarian, spiritual and charitable activities and also illustrating the importance and benefits of having mandir in a society.

Selfless service is the cornerstone of BAPS and its community activities and so this evening's central theme was “Spirit of Service”.

The delegates and guests included Hon. Susan Close MP Minister and Member of the executive council, Her Worship Gillian Aldridge, Mayor of Salisbury Council, Cr. Chad Buchanan, Councillor for West ward, Presidents and representatives of various Indian communities. All the guests were welcomed with a traditional shantipath sung by children, followed by a vibrant and colourful dance performance exemplifying the artistic talents among the children and youths of BAPS.

Guests expressed their gratitude and pleasure towards HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and BAPS volunteers for gifting the city with the upcoming mandir, expressing their interest to be present during it's inauguration.
