The women’s wing of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Dar-es-Salaam, held a special sabha celebrating “Nari Sanskar Sinchan” day on Saturday, 20th July 2013. Each of the Shishu, Balika, Kishori and Yuvati Mandals participated in this programme with a total of 154 participants and attended by a large audience.

The theme of “Nari Sanskar Sinchan” was depicted in the plays conducted by the Kishoris and Yuvatis and reinforced throughout the programme.

The programme began with manglacharan in classical form, followed by a welcome nrutya by the shishus.  Sanchalikas and participants from all mandals of women’s wing joined in the prayer, “Ame sau Swamina balak ...”.

The balikas then proceeded with the “Samp tya Jamp” nrutya natika of “Titodi” to an applauding audience. The Kishoris and Yuvatis then performed in “Niyam Dharma” and “Sahishnuta" plays, enacting real-life experiences of women who were inspired by an ideal BAPS kishori in satsang. The second play depicted one BAPS yuvati’s steadfast conviction in winning the hearts of her in-laws by maintaining the sanskars and disciplines given by Maharaj and Swami Bapa.

The evening ended on a high note with a "Hum BAPS ki Shaan hai …" nrutya.
