With the divine grace and inspiration of HDH Pramukh Swami Maharaj, a new BAPS Mandir has taken shape in the Mill Park suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The first phase of construction work came to an end on Sunday, 17 July 2011. Devotees and well-wishers attended a Vedic Mahapuja in the presence of Jnanpurush Swami and Adarshmuni Swami to mark this auspicious occasion.  An assembly was also held to thank and appreciate the efforts of all those who have helped in the making of this mandir.

The architect of the project, Mr. Paul Zaviska, and the builder, Mr. Tim Kraskov, commended the way in which BAPS Australia has set about to promote love, peace and harmony through such mandirs. They were impressed by the dedication of so many young volunteers.

The mandir will now host a range of cultural and spiritual programs such as weekly satsang assemblies for men, women and children every Sunday from 4.00 to 6.00 p.m., and Gujarati and music classes for youngsters every Sunday from 3.00 to 4.00 p.m. Also, yoga classes will be held for all age groups and major Hindu festivals will be celebrated with devotion.
