The Birth Anniversary of Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj was celebrated with great fanfare at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Sydney on 28 January 2007 in the presence of more than 500 devotees. Sydney Yuvak and Kishore Mandal hosted the celebrations with present - options based on the theme of “Yagnapurush Sukhkari”.
The celebration assembly featured cultural programs based on the inspirational life of Shastriji Maharaj, including dramas, kirtans, speeches and video presentations focusing on how Shastriji Maharaj overcame numerous difficulties and hurdles in his quest to spread the glory of the Akshar Purushottam upasana. Skits included the inspirational stories of devotees such as Hira Mukhi, who fearlessly spread Shastriji Maharaj’s message. Shastriji Maharaj’s insight when he founded BAPS Sanstha, which celebrates a centenary since its inception this year, was also highlighted.
The assembly concluded with arti and mahaprasad.
