The BAPS Bal-Balika Mandal, UK in July 2004 had entered the 'Cultural Cosmic Voyage' CD-ROM into the BECTA Award (British Educational Communications and Technology Agency). This CD-ROM was made by 45 children uniquely produced ‘by kids for kids’. From around 200 national entrees, the CD-ROM was short-listed and judged. In the final round, it gained the ‘Highly Commended’ status and came joint-first in the category of ‘Innovation and Change’. The award ceremony took place on 13 January 2005 in London Olympia at the BETT Show.
