The consecration ceremony of the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Bhuj was postponed due to the devastating earthquake that struck on 26 January, 2001. The mandir then became the nerve center for BAPS relief activities.
Now, after five months, the mandir was consecrated with Vedic rites at the behest of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The murtis of Akshar Purushottam Maharaj, Radha Krishna Dev and Guru Parampara were installed by Pujya Mahant Swami and Pujya Devcharan Swami. Annakut and arti were performed by the senior sadhus.
BAPS Mahila Mandir

Pujya Mahant performed the murti-pratishtha ceremony of the Mahila mandir in one of the tin houses in the BAPS tin-city, Bhuj. The mandir will enable women devotees to worship and deliver discourses.
