Jan 31 2001: Total of over 27,000 to 29,000 people were served daily at relief kitchens in Kachchh district. Total over 12,000 people were served daily at relief kitchens in other areas of Gujarat.
Pre-packed freshly-cooked food, snacks and drinking water pouches were distributed daily to towns and villages in the affected areas.
