The Special Relief Commissioner of Orissa, Sri A. K. Tripathy, has sanctioned the Sanstha's total rehabilitation Program for Orissa as follows:

Construction of 100 cyclone-proof houses (64 in Chakulia and 36 in Bada Billari.)
In the district of Jagatsinghpur, in the block of Erasama - comprising of 200 villages - 35 villages have been completely wiped out. More than 15 million people have been left homeless. With no shelter or livelihoods, survival is a question. For every homeless family, the Sanstha has already started constructing 12 X 21 sq. ft. special cyclone-proof concrete houses complete with kitchen and bathroom. By constructing 100 houses, the Sanstha will provide shelter, safety and security to villages of Chakulia and Bada Billari.

Construction of 2 schools in the District of Jagatsinghpur (one in Chakulia)

Repairing of 11 schools in the District of Jagatsinghpur

Providing educational materials to 27,500 school children and 2,000 children have already received help from the Sanstha so far.
Nearly all the schools in Jagatsinghpur are unfit for use. Many are completely destroyed. Taking note of the plight and to ensure that education is not lost, the Sanstha will construct 2 schools, each having 8 classrooms, an office and playground for class 5 to 7 students. An estimated 660 children will be accommodated. The Sanstha, as requested by the District Collector: Mr. S. Mohanty, will also repair an additional 11 schools in the district.

With Board examinations in March for Class 7 and 10 students in Orissa, the Sanstha has already started helping school children prepare well for their exams by providing educational materials like notebooks, pens and TBW examination guides to 2,900 students studying in 21 schools in the Erasama Block of Jagatsinghpur.

Have provided one tractor and a power tiller to farmers for tilling their lands. Providing seeds and fertilizer to 30,000 farmers
Along with the cyclone, ocean-water flooded more than 200 kilometres of coastal area, thus poisoning every farmable land with salt. Roughly 1.2 million hectares of standing cropland were destroyed; placing 5 million farmers out of work. Furthermore, with 700,000 cattle dead, there is an extreme shortage of bullocks for ploughing.
The Sanstha has provided a group of farmers with a tractor and a power tiller to plough their lands and remove the salt deposited by the ocean. After the salt is removed and the land readied, the Sanstha will distribute seeds and fertilizer to 30,000 farmers for cultivation.
