The Satsang Activity Center was inaugurated and the Murti Sthapan Vidhi held from 19 to 21 October 2012, in Robbinsville NJ. The occasion was graced by Sadguru Pujya Kothari Swami.

The central theme of the event was: ‘Thai Ek Mana Prabhu Ne Bhajiye’ – ‘Let Us Unite to Worship God’.

BAPS Women’s Forum, Birmingham presented a vibrant musical production entitled ‘Haridarshan’ – a fusion of classical Indian and folk dance. The musical brought to life exemplary female luminaries from Hinduism’s rich history, including Maitreyi, Shabri, Draupadi and Jivuba.

The festivities and devotional celebration to mark the first anniversary of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Leicester was held on Sunday 7 October 2012. Beginning with Vedic rituals in the morning, the celebrations concluded with the evening assembly during which all were encouraged to utilise the Mandir to progress spiritually and for peace to prevail in one’s life.

The International Day Of Non-Violence was commemorated with a Mombasa Street Cleaning Program was jointly organized, to clean Haile Selassie Road.

More than 800 children aged 3 to 14, divided into four age groups, participated in a variety of competitions over the weekend. This was the culmination of the Kidz Ultimate Challenge (KUC), with the final Memory Challenge (purna mukhpath) and Skills Challenge (talent contest).

BAPS volunteers from Dar-Es-Salaam gathered goods for donation to the Malaika Orphanage Foundation Center, Kuranaga. In addition to distribution of the goods and providing food packets, the volunteers entertained the children with a musical performance, a poem recital and also played the Tanzanian national anthem.

The Jal Jhilani festival in Mombasa was held on a ferry with over 300 haribhaktas. The Indian High Commissioner of Mombasa, Shri Radhakrishnan and various community heads graced the occasion with their presence.

The Utsav Sabha was held on Wednesday, 26th September, 2012 at the temple.

Thousands of devotees thronged amid the bright morning sun to the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Shahibaug to celebrate the Jal Jhilani festival in the presence of guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj and senior sadhus.

The Day is envisioned to provide “an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to create practical acts of peace on a shared date.”

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London participated once again in Open House London, the capital’s annual festival of architecture. The Mandir joined over 700 buildings, including private homes, commercial and government offices, historical sites, places of worship, educational establishments, and many others in “a celebration of all that is best about the capital’s buildings.”

The theme ‘Vidya Vinayena Shobhate’ a three-day education seminar was organised for university students at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Leicester, UK. The inspiring event motivated the students to excel at university while equipping them with the tools and techniques to better realise their potential.

On Saturday, 8 September 2012, Rotorua saw the opening of its first Hindu Mandir in the form of the new BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir.

‘Brent in Bloom’ is an annual competition held by the Council for the London Borough of Brent recognising the local community for its gardening skills.

Drawing upon the ancient Vedic sentiment of “Sarve’tra Sukhinah Santu” (‘May everyone here be happy’), the shibir aimed to provide guidance on achieving a holistic form of happiness in life.

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Lilburn, GA kicked off its fifth anniversary celebrations with a tribute to society's children and youth by inaugurating the new Yogi Youth Center on September 2, 2012.

As part of the year-long BAPS Youth Activities' 60th anniversary celebrations, 800 selected youths in 200 groups visited 200 villages throughout Gujarat to strengthen the values of satsang among the resident devotees and villagers.
