BAPS understands that the solution to securing a promising future is by nurturing our children today. Envisioned and launched by Yogiji Maharaj, Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s fourth spiritual successor, the organization’s children’s activities cover a wide spectrum of education and recreation. Most importantly, these programs are designed and executed by sadhus and youths that have passed through the same system, which better enable them to relate to children growing up in their local communities. In addition, BAPS Bal Mandals, or children’s groups, adapt universal lessons in conformity with local conventions, such as languages, customs, and celebrations. BAPS focuses on serving local communities by preparing their future generations to excel in their educational careers, build strong characters, develop their extracurricular skills, and live healthy and well-balanced lives, while maintaining functioning relationships with their parents.
