BAPS Shri Swaminārāyan Mandir, one of the first Hindu Mandirs providing spiritual and community service to the greater Austin area, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
This will be a two-day celebration during the weekend of November 11th & 12th, 2017.
November 11th (Saturday)
Women’s Cultural Program - 10am at BAPS Shri Swaminārāyan Mandir in Austin. This program will be a spiritual and cultural journey depicted by drama and dances hosted by women for women. (Followed by Mahāprasād)
Kirtan Ārādhnā - 7:30pm (Mahāprasād will be served at 6pm). Devotional Kirtans will be presented by learned Swamis along with haribhaktō of BAPS.
November 12th (Sunday)
Mahāpujā and Annakut - 10am at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Austin.
Mahāpujā is a sacred pujā ritual to offer prayer to Bhagvān for harmony, everlasting peace in family, and future endeavors.
Annakut is a display of numerous unique thāls (vegetarian delicacies like snacks, sweets, pickles, spicy dishes, salads, fruit snacks, and other items) prepared by devotees and offered to Bhagvān in devotional gratitude. (Followed by Mahāprasād)
Dashābdi Celebration: Cultural Program - 3pm at Rodney And Mary Klett Performing Art Center, 2211 N. Austin Ave., Georgetown, TX 78626. Experience a unique cultural program performed by youth of BAPS through drams, spiritual discourses, and fold dances. (Followed by Mahāprasād).
