Darshan is the ritual of viewing the sacred images installed in the mandir
The worship of God through belief in his presence in a sacred image is considered to be one of the foremost aids to spiritual realization in Hinduism.

Daily Arti Ritual
Arti is the ritual of waving lighted wicks in reverence of the sacred images
Performed in a spirit of humility and gratitude, faithful followers become immersed in God's divine form. It is the innermost calling of the soul and symbolizes the five elements: space (akash), wind (vayu), light (tej), water (jal), and earth (pruthvi).

The Mandir is a sacred house of God and a place of daily worship. In the interest of preserving its sanctity and ensuring worshippers can enjoy the spiritual ambience, all visitors are requested to abide by the following guidelines in all areas of the complex.

 

 

Dress Code:
Please note that a strict dress code operates within the complex. Specifically, tops must cover the shoulders, chest, navel, and upper arms. Leg-wear must be at least below knee-length.

Shoes:
Please remove all footwear before entering any of the Mandir buildings. Shoe racks are provided within the complex.

Photography and Videography:

Personal photography & videography, for non-commercial use, is allowed only after permission.
For commercial or professional photography / videography, it is required to apply for written permission at least one week earlier..

Food and Drink:

No food or drinks are allowed inside the Mandir premises. Please discard chewing gum in the trash cans before entering.

Mobile Phones:

Please switch all mobile phones to silent prior to entering the premises. Mobile phones with cameras must not be used to take photo or video inside the Mandir.

Conduct:

Please refrain from touching the delicate carvings. To maintain the spiritual atmosphere observe silence inside the Mandir.

Children:

Children of all ages are welcome. However, visitors aged 16 or under must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Smoking:
No smoking is allowed on the premises, including the parking area. Please dispose cigarettes prior to entering the gates.

Pets:

No pets are allowed inside the complex. Service animals are not allowed inside the Mandir or Assembly Hall in order to respect religious sentiment. Assistance shall be provided at the reception desk or security area for any such requirements.

Copyright:
The Mandir may carry out photography and/or video recording and/or other monitoring which may feature visitors. The copyright and all other intellectual property rights in these materials rests with BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha or such authorized third party.

 
Please Note: The Management reserves the right to refuse admission to those who do not follow the guidelines, those who may be deemed a security risk or to those who may be inappropriately dressed.
