True Education from the Scriptures
|
Thinking about scriptures pertaining to moksha and chanting God’s name is true education. From a young age, Shastriji Maharaj had a habit of singing verses depicting Shri Hari’s divine actions – known as chesta – every night before going to bed. His father had taught him such virtues from childhood. Hence, before he had even started learning the alphabet at school, when the young Dungar Bhakta used to visit Vartal Mandir, he would collect discarded pages of scriptures such as Vachanamrut, Bhaktachintamani, etc., that had been thrown in the patio by scribes who deemed them unusable. While holding these, he would sit in the pose of an eloquent speaker and read them. All could see that this child held the promise of a dedicated scholar and a person well versed in the scriptures.
